Who you'll work with.

When you hire pondo, these are the people in the work with you. No account-management layer, no mystery team arriving after the proposal.

Peter Koen
Founder & Designer

Peter Koen

The world should not be tolerated the way it is. If something is not as good as it could be, design a better way with the people who have to use it. That principle has paid the bills since 1999.

Peter's track record includes enterprise software for about 70% of the JSE top 100. He co-founded InfoSlips in 2005, helped scale it to millions of documents a month across 144 countries, and started pondo in 2015. These days he leads pondo's UX and business-process work, works as UX lead and investor at SimVida, and is building Kit, a persistent-memory substrate for AI agents.

Hanna Duker
Senior Designer

Hanna Duker

Hanna is an experience designer with a background in professional architecture. Public-sector urban design across South Africa came first. The systems lens stayed when she moved into digital work. She has spent twelve years across enterprise tools and community-impact platforms, and is most at home where the problem space is genuinely complex and research is the spine. At pondo she leads service-design work.

Brian Kilbey
Design Advisor

Brian Kilbey

Brian is a senior UX strategist across fintech and enterprise SaaS, happiest with complex back-office systems and B2B workflows across mobile and desktop. Before that he spent fifteen years in nonprofit social research and workshop facilitation. The methods overlap more than they look. He advises pondo on strategy and senior calls.

Collaborators

Specialists, by name, on the project.

For each engagement we bring in the specialists the work needs: research moderators, motion designers, accessibility auditors, dev partners. They are selected for the project and named in the proposal, not hidden behind a generic bench.

Senior, AI-forward freelance designers and developers: if our model resonates, we'd like to know about you. The bench is always open to the right people. Get in touch

How we deliver

More output per senior person than five years ago.

Modern tooling, including AI for prototyping and code generation, is part of why a small senior team can move at the pace we do. The thinking, decisions and accountability still sit with the people above. We have written more about the model on Working with AI.
