Short version: we don't collect more than we need, we don't sell your data, and we'll tell you what we do collect, plainly.

Who we are

This site is operated by Pondo Consulting (Pty) Ltd, based in Cape Town, South Africa. You can reach us at info@pondo.co.

What we collect

The contact form. Name, email, optional company name, optional message. We use these to reply to your enquiry. Submissions are processed through Netlify Forms (our hosting provider) and emailed to us. We don't add you to a marketing list.

Analytics, if you accept. If you click "Accept all" on the cookie banner, we load Plausible, a privacy-respecting analytics tool. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not track you across sites. It tells us which pages get visited, where visits come from, and how many visits we get. That's it. If you click "Essential only", we don't load Plausible at all.

Server logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) keeps standard request logs. These exist for security and uptime, not for tracking.

Cookies

We use one cookie-equivalent: a small entry in your browser's local storage to remember your cookie preference, so we don't ask you again every visit. That's it.

You can change your preference any time using the Cookie preferences link in our footer.

How long we keep things

Form submissions live in our email and in Netlify Forms storage, indefinitely (we may need to refer back to a conversation we had with you). If you'd like us to delete an enquiry, email info@pondo.co and we'll handle it.

Your rights

Under POPIA (South Africa) and similar regulations, you have the right to know what we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you think we've handled your data badly. Email us first; we'd much rather sort it out directly.
